Which Window Cleaning Kit Size Should I Choose?
Choosing a window-cleaning kit is not simply a case of buying the widest squeegee. Start with the glass you actually clean: narrow opening windows, everyday house windows or broad shopfront panes. A tool that fits comfortably between the frames is usually more useful than one that is too wide for part of the job.
Start by measuring your smallest panes
Measure the clear glass between the frames, not the width of the whole window unit. Allow room to position and turn the tool rather than selecting a channel that only just fits. Check the washer as well as the squeegee, and consider handles, deep sills and other obstructions. For a property with very different window sizes, one main kit plus a smaller compatible channel can be more practical than trying to use one large tool everywhere.
25cm: a compact option for smaller panes
The 25cm kit pairs a 25cm Moerman Liquidator squeegee channel with a 25cm SwivelMaster T-bar and Fugu washer sleeve. Consider this size when smaller windows and confined spaces are the priority. You trade coverage per pass for a shorter tool that is easier to position on narrow glass.
35cm: a useful starting point for everyday windows
The 35cm kit has a 35cm squeegee and a matching 35cm washer. This is a sensible size to consider for a mix of residential windows, office panes and retail glass, provided the tools fit your smaller panes. Compare it against your measured windows rather than assuming that an all-round size will fit every frame.
45cm: for larger unobstructed glass
The 45cm kit combines a 45cm squeegee with a 45cm washer. Consider it when much of your work is on larger panes and you have room to move the tools comfortably. A wider head covers more width in a pass, but it also needs more clearance and can be less convenient for small opening sections.
55cm squeegee: supplied with a 45cm washer
The largest kit pairs a 55cm Liquidator squeegee with a 45cm SwivelMaster T-bar and Fugu sleeve. The washer is not 55cm. This combination is worth considering for broad panes and shopfront glass, while keeping a shorter channel available for smaller windows. Choose it for the dimensions of the job, not because the largest size is automatically the best.
What is included, and what is separate?
Each of these kits includes a 20L bucket, Moerman SwivelMaster T-bar, Fugu sleeve, Excelerator 2.0 squeegee handle and Liquidator 3.0 channel with NXT-R rubber. The washer and channel sizes depend on the kit. Extension poles and adaptors are sold separately; a kit description that includes a hand tool does not mean it includes every fitting needed for pole work.
Read the component list before ordering and check any additional tools against the exact pole and adaptor you already own. These are equipment kits: do not assume detergent, cloths or other unlisted accessories are included. Check the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and the glass or coating manufacturer’s care guidance before use.
Keep replacement sizing simple
Replacement rubber follows the squeegee channel size, while a replacement washer sleeve follows the T-bar size. For the 55cm kit, that means a 55cm Liquidator rubber and a 45cm washer sleeve. Keeping those two measurements separate helps avoid ordering a replacement for the wrong part.
