Moerman Liquidator Replacement Rubber: Sizes and Fit Guide
A replacement squeegee rubber is a different purchase from a channel or a complete squeegee. Before ordering, identify the part you need and measure the channel you are keeping. For the Moerman Liquidator range in this shop, choose the original Liquidator-cut NXT-R rubber in the matching size.
Understand the three parts
The handle is the part you hold. The channel is the rigid bar that supports the working edge. The rubber is the flexible strip that contacts the glass. A rubber-only listing does not include a channel or handle. A channel-and-rubber listing includes those two parts, but not a separate handle unless the product page explicitly says so.
Match the channel length, not the washer
Measure or read the size of the squeegee channel itself. Do not use the washer width as a substitute: the 55cm window-cleaning kit, for example, has a 45cm washer. Its squeegee needs the 55cm rubber. Check the model and cut as well as the length; the turquoise colour alone is not a complete compatibility check.
Check the edge before buying a replacement
A nicked, distorted or visibly worn working edge is a reason to inspect the rubber closely. However, a streak does not automatically mean the rubber is worn out. First clean the edge and check that the channel is clean, straight and correctly assembled. Dirt, a poorly seated strip or technique can also affect the result.
Moerman’s Liquidator 3.0 guidance recommends centring the NXT-R rubber in the channel, using adequate detergent and working with light pressure. These checks are worth making before deciding that the entire tool needs replacement.
Replacing the strip without guessing at the fittings
Follow the replacement method for your exact channel and end-clip design. Do not force an unfamiliar clip or modify a new rubber to compensate for a mismatched size. Clean the channel before fitting the replacement, seat the strip correctly and check that it is centred and secure before returning the tool to use. Ask for help when the fitting is unclear; a photograph of the channel and its ends makes it easier to identify.
After fitting, test the squeegee on a small area of ordinary glass at a comfortable height. A new rubber should not be used to conceal a bent channel or a damaged retaining part. Stop and inspect the assembly when the strip shifts or does not sit evenly.
When to choose a channel and rubber instead
A replacement strip makes sense when the existing channel is serviceable. When the channel itself is damaged, or you need a different working width, compare the channel-and-rubber listings instead. Keep your handle only after checking that it is compatible with the replacement channel.
